Piano Lessons in Singapore

Music is both powerful and delicate. It has the strength to evoke deep emotions, tell stories, and bring people together across cultures and generations. At the same time, it carries a certain fragility—expressing the subtlest nuances of feeling, capturing fleeting moments, and resonating in ways that words often cannot.

Music fosters perseverance and discipline and at the same time brings joy. It remains both deeply personal and universally unifying. My greatest passion is inspiring students to explore and discover this beauty for themselves.

With that said, we would love to extend our arms to give you a warm welcome to join Mega Piano Studio. We are here to guide and to support you and your child's musical journey in every way. MPS offers piano and theory lessons, both in-person and online. In Mega Piano Studio, we also offer piano accompaniment services, should you need a pianist for your event or your child's music exam or performance. Teaching Philosophy

Everyone is a musician. Humans are born with the ability to create and enjoy music. Music can be fun and fulfilling. Music is also mentally stimulating and provides an avenue for emotion expression. With perseverance and commitment, this rewarding activity will bring joy, mental growth, and emotional resilience.

In Mega Piano Studio, we take pride in building a strong musical foundation for everyone, from the young child to the adult learner, from the beginner to the advanced student. We guide all students through different stages of their musical journey. Whether you are the parent of a young child taking their first music lessons or the adult learner looking to have more music in your life, we are committed to providing lessons that adapt to your needs. We will make sure each lesson is fulfilling and engaging but not overwhelming or stifling. Although only some people want to be a professional musician, everyone who takes music lessons can enjoy the learning process and enjoy having music in their lives.

Promoting Diversity in Repertoire

In Mega Piano Studio, alongside the necessary repertoire for examinations or required curricula, students are strongly encouraged to learn as wide a repertoire of music as they can. This may include the inclusion of contemporary classical works, music by women composers and other historically underrepresented people, as well as popular music and musical theatre works. These works are just as essential as the classical canon, and will allow students to explore and understand a wider range of repertoires.

Exposure to a wide range of music not only broadens artistic perspectives but also fosters creativity, adaptability, and an openness to learning new things beyond music. By integrating these works into our lessons, we aim to inspire curiosity, challenge traditional perceptions, and expand our students' musical horizons. A well-rounded musical education should embrace both the timeless masterpieces of the past and the innovative compositions of the present, ensuring that students develop a rich, versatile, and forward-thinking artistic foundation.

Encouraging Open Communication

Music is, at its core, a shared experience, and by fostering open dialogue, we can continue to grow, refine our artistry, and inspire one another. Students are encouraged to voice their artistic ideas, both with their instructors and with their peers. Being able to communicate clearly and respectfully is an important and useful skill that extends beyond music lessons.

In Mega Piano Studio, every student is important. Therefore, we value respectful, open, and regular communication between students, parents and teachers. Mega Piano Studio is here to support you and your child's musical journey and learning experience.
